I've attempted to begin a new web-endeavor. I will be (hopefully) uploading and posting regularly on my creative endeavors. I make quite a few things, and would like to show them, and *hopefully* receive feedback on those creations.
I crochet, knit (I know, strange to do both!), sew, and enjoy re-fashioning old clothes and items into new things.To give you an idea of what I am into- I like to find things and reproduce them in yarn, or take things apart and re-fashion them into something more my style and fit.
I would like to share some of my creations, as well as patterns I've made or used for such. A lot of my knit and crochet items are one-size, and if they are personalized, I will try to give you my creative process for my ideal fit and you can *hopefully* continue on your own from there.
I'm not a pattern reader. I'd rather find something I like and create it on my own, or begin with a pattern and re-fashion it as I make it.
Current projects- a cute newsboy type hat for my Aunt who is going through chemotherapy, refashioning 2 shirts into a tunic dress with some oomph (black and red stripes, and yes, two of the same shirts!), altered legwarmers that were inspired by a fashion magazine that are hand-knit, and matching fingerless mitts to match a hat I made from the Firefly tv show for a friend.
I would like for everyone to remember my motto: If the yarn isn't cooperating, frog it!*
(* Frog it means to rip it out--- ripit-ripit-ripit...)
